Tooth-Colored Fillings

We know that you’re proactive in taking good care of your family’s oral health. Unfortunately, no matter how conscientious you are, cavities can still develop. In fact, you may be surprised to learn that tooth decay is the second most prevalent disease in the US after the common cold!

At the office of Dr. Zachary J. Holder and Dr. Jesse B. Kirkpatrick, our goal is to provide services like tooth-colored fillings that not only treat and correct dental problems, but also improve the beauty of your smile.

When you get a cavity, we need to take care of it as quickly as possible to keep your teeth strong and healthy. We use state-of-the-art technology like digital and panoramic x-rays that help us find decay in its earliest stages. When a cavity is small, a filling will usually be all that’s needed. Restoring the tooth will prevent the decay from spreading and leading to more serious oral health problems.

Strong, Natural-Looking Fillings

Our tooth-colored fillings are beautiful, durable, and resilient. Esthetically, tooth-colored fillings are an excellent choice for a restoration because the material can be shaded to closely match the color of your own teeth. Since tooth-colored composites blend so well with natural teeth, we can use them for a variety of restorative treatments.

Tooth-colored fillings are also good for your teeth because the process we use to place them eliminates the need to remove a lot of healthy tooth structure. It’s always in our patients’ best interest to preserve as much natural tooth structure as possible to maintain a whole and healthy tooth for many years.

Dental Bonding

Bonding is an affordable, conservative procedure where tooth-colored composite material is used to:

  • Restore chipped or cracked teeth
  • Cover teeth that are severely stained or discolored
  • Fill uneven gaps and spacing between teeth
  • Alter the shape of poorly proportioned teeth

There is little or no preparation required for bonding. Once the composite is applied to your teeth, Dr. Holder or Dr. Kirkpatrick will expertly shape and polish the tooth so that it blends perfectly with your natural tooth enamel. Dental bonding is so efficient that we can often fix several minor problems during a single visit.

Your Treatment, Your Way

Everyone is unique and has very specific needs when it comes to dental care. By building long-term relationships with our patients, we get to know your family’s needs and what’s important to you. After a consultation and thorough evaluation of your oral health, we will work with you to develop a treatment plan designed to ensure a healthy smile.

Please contact our Baytown dental office to arrange an appointment. At that time we will be happy to answer your questions and help you decide which type of restorative treatment is the most appropriate solution for your specific problem.
